Elizabethtown

Director: Cameron Crowe
Cast: Orlando Bloom, Kirsten Dunst, Susan Sarandon
Genre: Romance/Comedy
Story: Drew Baylor (Orlando Bloom) made a really expensive mistake and now he got fired. But before we say it couldn't be worse he get a call from home with sad news: his mum died. Then Drew decides that he will go home. Ont he plane he meet the optimist Claire (Kirsten Dunst) and suddenly everything's change in his life. But who knows what will wait for him in Elizabethtown?
Top thing(s): Kirsten and Orlando? What a cute couple!
Flop thing(s): Drew's million dollar trouble.
Rating: 8/10 - Funny, romantic, sometimes sad, but absolutely a cool movie.

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

Director: Shane Black
Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Val Kilmer, Michelle Monaghan
Genre: Comedy/Crime
Story: After a petty thief (Robert Downey Jr.) got a role in a cop movie he decides, that he will research his role. He asks a real police (Val Kilmer) to show him the non-screen police life. Suddenly, they get into a trouble that may involve the thief's secondary school dream-girl, too.
Top thing(s): Val Kilmer and Robert Downey Jr. made a great team.
Flop thing(s): The title is the worst one I've ever seen.
Rating: 9/10 - Sex, murder, mystery… And much more.

In Her Shoes

Director: Curtis Hanson
Cast: Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette, Shirley MacLaine
Genre: Comedy
Story: Maggie (Cameron Diaz) and Rose (Toni Collette) are two really different girl: Maggie is a wild party-girl while her older sister is a successful lawyer. After a big argument the girls are goint to their grandma and they'll learn a lot of things from her. For example how to love themself and eachother, too.
Top thing(s): Cameron has the best lines in the movie.
Flop thing(s): The book by Jennifer Winer was better…
Rating: 7/10 - A typical girlish movie.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Director: Mike Newell
Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson
Genre: Fantasy/Action
Story: Our favourite Harry is back after a long time! Now he's in his fourth year at Hogwarts and he's one of the constentants int he Twizard Tournament. He must complete all of the challenges against the best young wizards from all over Europe and he must play not only for the cup, but for he's life, too!
Top thing(s):Ralph Fiennes also has a role in the movie.
Flop thing(s): Harry's old nightmare is back.
Rating: 9/10 - Simply magical…

Transporter 2.

Director: Louis Leterrier
Cast: Jason Statham, Amber Valletta
Genre: Action
Story: A silent man. An elegant black suit. Some rules and a fabolous car: that's him, the transporter, not more. Now he's leaving in Miami and he got a really easy job: he takes a boy to school every morning. But you can imagine, it's not as simple as it seems…
Top thing(s): You can't count how many times they use gun in the movie.
Flop thing(s): Maybe it's an action movie, but the story is boring.
Rating: 5/10 - I think the first Transporter movie was enough…

Just Like Heaven

Cast: Reese Witherspoon, Mark Ruffalo
Genre: Romance/Comedy
Story: When David buy his San Francisco apartment, the last thing he expected is a roommate. He just started to live in his new flat when the bossy Elizabeth appeared and she said that David lives in her place. When the girl disappeared David tried everything to keep her away from his apartment, but Elizabet discovered that she can walk trough the walls. It can only mean one thing: the girl is a ghost, but is she?
Top thing(s): Elizabeth always tries to tell David what to do.
Flop thing(s): So short romance…
Rating: A great movie for dates.

Must Love Dogs

Cast: Diane Lane, John Cusack
Genre: Comedy/Romance
The Story: After Sarah Hurlihy has divorced she finds herself in a really annoying situation: her family pushing her back into the dating world. Her sister places an ad for her and soon somone answers it. But that someone loves dogs and he doesn't know the fact, that Sarah doesn't own one. So, she borrows her brother's dog, Mother Theresa and she gets in trouble with the huge animal…
Top thing(s): The troubles with "Sarah's" dog.
Flop thing(s): Lie in the first date? Well…
Rating: 6/10 - A funny and romantic comedy, but unfortunately we saw a lot of movies like this before…

Revolver

Director: Guy Ritchie
Cast: Jason Statham, Ray Liotta
Genre: Action
The Story: Las Vegas gambler, Jake Green just rarely allowed to play in casinos, cause he always wins. One day Jake, Joe and their other brother Billy are invited to a private and serious game and the casinos owner, Dorothy Macha is sits at the table, too. But who will win the final game? Let's see it…
Top thing(s): The story is quite exciting…
Flop thing(s): … but it has a lot of typical 'Ritchie moments'
Rating: 7/10 - A must see movie for the Guy Richie (and Madonna) fans… The others should find another one.

Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo

The Story: Deuce Bigalow is back! And this time he goes to Europe to find new clients for himself, but soon he finds out three really important things: there's a secret society of he-whores that he didn't know about, secondly his in a very low rank in this society and someone is killing the higher class gigolos. But who's the killer? And what will happen ont he 73rd Annual Man Whore Awards?
Top thing(s): Some jokes are actually good.
Flop thing(s): A Man Whore Awards? Weird, isn't it?
Rating: 5/10 -Feel good(?) comedy with cheap jokes…

Pride & Prejudice

Genre: Romance
The Story: The story is based on Jane Austen's legendary novell about five sisters who are live in the boring, Gregorian England. But when Mr Bingley, his daughters and he's best friend, Mr Darcy (Matthew MacFadyen) arrive to the town the girls' life turn upside down. Soon love is int he air for one of the Bennet sisters. But what will her sisters say? And who will win the battle of sexes? Let's go to the cinema (or read the book) to find out!
Top thing(s): The beautiful places of England.
Flop thing(s): It's not the first movie of this story. Why can't the directors make original movies?
Rating: 8/10 - A funny and romantic movie… And by the way Keira is great in it!

The Story: A group of skateboarders, the Z-boys are live int he streets of Venice, California. They're especially famous for their aggressive style and hardstreet attitude, but they're also known as good friends, who are always there for eachother. But will it change after they realize, that their hobby can be a big business, too?
Top thing(s): Jackass star, Johnny Knoxville also appears in the movie.
Flop thing(s): Emile Hirch (from The Girl Next Door) with long hair? Horrible.
Rating: 6/10 - Sex, drugs and skatebording… Not much.

Cinderella Man

Genre: Drama
The Story: In the darkest years of the Great Depression Jim Braddock (Russel Crowe), a once-promising boxer got to retire ater some losses int he ring. He accepts a dead-end job to support his family, but secrely he still dreams of boxing again.
It seems hi hopes and dreams will come true, but first he got to faces his thoughest challenger in Max Baer (Craig Bierko), who already killed two meni n the ring…
Top thing(s): The story is based on the true story of the legendary athlete, Jim Braddock.
Flop thing(s): Renée Zellweger's hair.
Rating: 8/10 - A beautiful drama about how to believe in our dreams through everything.

Asylum

Cast: Natasha Tichardson, Marton Csokas, Ian McKellen, Hugh Bonneville,
Genre: Drama/Romance
The Story: On the summer of '59 Stella (Natasha Richardson) finds herself in trouble when she notices she's fell in love with one of his husband's (Hugh Bonneville) patient in (Marton Csokas) the asylum. Moreover, her love has a big secret: he was found guilty int he murder and disfigurement of his former wife. Well, will Stella be on Edgar's side when his secret turn out? And will her husband will find out this strange romance?
Top thing(s): Natasha Richardson and Marton Csokas great in this movie.
Flop thing(s): Poor former wife…
Rating: 9/10 - A good romantic drama, with amazing talents and a great story.

Red Eye

Lisa wants tor un away, but on 30,000 feets she knows it's impossible, so she decides that she will save her and her fathers life.But will she live through her life's scariest trip and will she stop this terrible murder? Top thing(s):.Wes Carven, the director of the Scream thrilogy is back with a new scary movie and Rachel McAdams (Mean Girls) has brown hair!
Flop thing(s): After you watch this movie, you'll think twice to go on a trip by airplane!
Rating: 9/10 - Scary and original, a must see movie for thriller lovers.

Last Days

Director: Gus Van Sant
Cast: Michael Pitt, Lukas Haas, Asia Argento
Genre: Drama
The Story: The great, but troubed musician, Blake (Michael Pitt) slowly buckling under the weight of fame. He just wants to disappear from his friends, managers and a lots of more person's life. So, he spends his final hours all alone, away from those, who were very close to him. He visits a stranger from the Yellow Pages sales deparment, he goes to a rock club and he plays he's last song in his life.
Top thing(s): The lead character, Blake was modeled on Kurt Cobain.
Flop thing(s): Well that's what fame can do…
Rating: 7/10 - A sad drama about sex, drugs and rock'n'roll.
