Manchester Academy, live music at the University of Manchester Students Union
Although we put on Them Beatles at Club Academy we do not regular promote gigs at any of the Academy venues inc Academy 3 or Club Academy
The Academy venues do offer a great playing field for touring bands in Manchester, but the unsigned bills or Academy Live / Academy Unsigned as they've been known over the years offer nothing but mismatched bills and half empty venues.
That's why so often Manchester bands come our way looking for better local gigs and the best local bands around
Our reasons for us not running gigs at the Academy are explained further in our Manchester Bands sign up form, so if you want to play at one of our other venues such as Dry Bar or The Roadhouse do let us know
