ITC UNSIGNED SHOWCASES

At the time of going to press Wanadoo has no internet connection and hence we're relying on the ancient box in the corner which allows us to connect to another internet provider so we havent had chance to listen in full to the full list of bands below that have made the final selections by Phil Saxe and his A&R Team at In The City.

However our initial impression is that there's a stronger Mancunian presence that ever before with bands such as The Jakpot, The Answering Machine, The Headlines and Gideon Conn being notable highlights for our city. Its also a Mancunian band, The Maple State, who also show that they have at least one A&R guy on the panel who's focused the shift from indie to rock alongside the Myspace whores PenKnifeLoveLife who Designer Magazine tipped about 12 months ago and 52 Teenagers

Once we've had chance to go through the full list we'll be bringing you our best bands of In The City which will also include bands playing in Break In The City and the fringe gigs. Last year one of the bands we tipped happened to be that little known band Orson who played their first ever UK gig and got signed on the spot
