LEEDS FESTIVAL 2008 LINE UP ANNOUNCED

Last years Leeds Festival we tagged as the good, the bad and the ugly so will this years event fair any better. Initial impressions seem like its a mixed bunch of acts with highlights being the Manic Street Preachers headlining the NME / Radio 1 stage on the Saturday fresh from their crowning as Godlike Genius' at the NME Awards. We're hoping the tent will be bigger this year as surely there will be as many people wanting to watch a classic festival set from the Manics as there will be the Killers on the main stage.

The festival also seems to be going back to its roots with Metallica and Rage Against The Machine headlining the main stage on Friday and Sunday respectively. While the latter remains an enticing prospect the thought of reliving early 90s Metallica isnt something we'd particlularly relish
