A few days previous to this Manchester gig, The Mars Volta went straight in at Number 4 in the US charts with their second album "Frances The Mute". The previous time they'd played the city was an early afternoon performance at Manchester's Move Festival last year. Designer Magazine sent photographer Karen McBride to capture them indoors in their true environment
