With so many artists releasing anti-war concept albums, Nitn Sawhney has avoided political issues and "Philtre" is his most personal album to date. Taking in a variety of cultures and soundscape's that are melded to the almost retro stylings of trip hop the album flows freely. Designer Magazine has witnessed Sawhney twice before in two very different scenarios. The first was at this very same venue a number of years around the release of "Prophesy", the 2nd time was an in discussion appearance with MJ Cole over at the Bridgewater Hall. Designer Magazine sent our photographer Shirlaine Forrest down to the Academy to capture Nitin and the variety of guest vocalist
